Rainy Day Movie Marathon

For some unknown reason the sun disappeared and the rain came full force. I thought rather than being bummed we would turn it around. Hudson and I camped out on the living room floor with comfy blankets and pillows. We watched all of his favorite movies, Monster’s Inc and Despicable Me…in toddler language “Pickle Me.” It was great snuggling with my little man all day long. He actually sat still for entire showing of “Pickle Me.”

Big Sky Country or Heaven on Earth…

Montana is a place like none other. We have lived in many different places but Montana just has something. You can be eating yummy food downtown or be on a brew tour, only later to drive 10 minutes to a river or hiking trail. Its a lovely place to raise kids and enjoy nature!

“I’m in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana it is love. And it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.”- John Steinbeck

Easter Weekend

Easter this year was so much fun! Hudson was happy with his “basket,” dump truck. The sun finally peeked out this weekend so most of our time was spent outside with Family.

Painting….The Next Picasso….

This past evening Hudson and I were helping my sisters with their science projects. Mr.Man was NOT interested…surprising right!? He was being a bit demanding so we decided to let him have some fun of his own. FINGER PAINTING!!!! I expected him to be jacked….Buuuuuut he was a bit confused by the feel of the paint. After eating …I mean easing into it he had a great time.

DIY Jean Makeover!

Hope everyone had a fab weekend!! So awhile back Gap had the CUTEST polka dot jeans that I HAD sitting in my cart but never bought…GO FIGURE they went out of stock and they don’t have them anymore. I have been kicking myself ever since! C’mon we’ve all done it, I’m sure some of you have stuff sitting in online carts as we speak! 😉 SO I decided I was gonna try to make my own! Literally all you need to do this is an old pair of jeans, acrylic paint and something to use to dot! I used a wine cork but it totally depends on the size of the dots you want, a pencil eraser would be perfect for smaller dots!

Mani Pedi Friday Fun!!

Hey guys! So if you’ve checked out Jamberry wraps you have seen how amazing these things really are! However some just love their polish as well, and if you’re like me just dying to paint those cute fingers and toes on your babe but not sure how safe that stuff you’re putting on those precious fingers and toes really is, Jamberry lacquer is for you!! Most high end nail lacquers are changing over to be “3 free” omitting the harmful toluene, dibutyl phthalate (DBT), and formaldehyde. Jamberry decided to take this to the next step of being “5 free” by also omitting formaldehyde resin and camphor, other harmful chemicals. These lacquers compare to the $20-$40 bottles of professional nail lacquer on the market! Perfectly safe for your mini me! This is the Hint of Mint polish on my little lady (my fave in the whole line)!

Every mama needs some time to herself…no matter how much we love our littles…especially after one of “those days.” Whether it be something as simple as a shower alone, an hour to read your book, time to do your NAILS, you get the picture. Recently I’ve entered into a new business endeavor that allows me to do just that by becoming an Independent Consultant for Jamberry Nails!

Fun Arts and Crafts!

In my opinion a kid is never too young to start doing little crafts of their own! (With assistance of course)! You just have to figure out the right way to do this. With the weather STILL being too cold to really ever go outside we had a little craft day yesterday! For this project all you need is some paint, paper ( I used card stock so it was a little thicker) and I added some glitter because….well I’m obsessed with glitter 🙂  We used these colors because they are the theme in Harper’s room.

Climb, Slide,…Repeat

Hey Friends! I hope your weekend has been full of family fun and some good laughs. Today, it was slightly nice enough to take a walk outside. Which ended at the P-A-R-K.  Spelling certain words has become the norm or a toddler tantrum will ensue.

Hudson’s First Movie

Hudson went to his first movie yesterday. We saw Muppets Most Wanted. I called the movie theater before we went. Yes I did, a bit much but wanted to be be prepared. I wanted to make sure there was no age minimum and what the rules were on an upset baby. The theater was great, they recommended if he got upset to bring him to the lobby and try again….Duh!?. Definitely, some needed reassurance for this nervous mama though. [Read more…]
