Big Sky Country or Heaven on Earth…

Montana is a place like none other. We have lived in many different places but Montana just has something. You can be eating yummy food downtown or be on a brew tour, only later to drive 10 minutes to a river or hiking trail. Its a lovely place to raise kids and enjoy nature!

“I’m in love with Montana. For other states I have admiration, respect, recognition, even some affection. But with Montana it is love. And it’s difficult to analyze love when you’re in it.”- John Steinbeck

Keeping that in mind, there are many ranches and farms a few minutes from town. My grandmother is lucky enough to have her own slice of heaven, 5 acres all her own and within walking distance to the river. The quiet that surrounds here home is something to strive for. When we visit her, a whole 15 minutes from our front door, a feeling of calm washes over me. I would buy her house in a second because of it.

Over Easter weekend we spent a lot of time outside. One evening we visited Great Grandma to build a greenhouse. Hudson is a tad obsessed with being outside, so being able to have free reign over 5 acres was right up his alley. We rode on “Gigi’s” four-wheeler and ate dirt like it was fine dining.

He looks like he is mad but he was all giggles while I was driving.
